Internet Radio for Nokia E72
Posted by MyNokiaE72 in Applications, Free Applications, Tips and Tricks on February 14, 2010
I was quite surprised (like anyone who used to have Nokia E71) to find that the Nokia E72 doesn’t include Nokia Internet Radio. Nokia Fanboy just dropped me a comment that solution can be found on his web site. The original post can be found in Symbain-Guru.
Thank you
Worldmate – Travel Application for the E72
Posted by MyNokiaE72 in Applications, Free Applications on January 15, 2010
I really don’t have anything against the world traveler by Psiloc that delivers with the Nokia E72 but I prefers the Worldmate.
The Worldmate offers following services for free:
- World Clock
- Currency Converter
- World Weather
- Weathercaset
The weathercast is scheduled weather updates that can be scheduled for up to twice a day.
For those who travel frequently there is a gold annual subscriber for the additional following services:
- Flight Status for more than 175 airlines
- Real-time Alerts for flight delays or cancellations
- Flight Schedules for over 800 airlines
- Satellite Weather Imagery
Download the application from the E72 browser: m.mobimate.com
OVI Store or the attached barcode

New software update – 022.007
Posted by MyNokiaE72 in Updates on January 13, 2010
Nokia published new software update for the Nokia E72. The new software version is 022.007.
To display current phone software version type *#0000# or Menu->Ctrl. panel->Phone->Device mgr.
From same screen it’s possible to check if new software available for your phone: Options-> Check for update.
If software update available for your phone just confirm the software update. The software downloads, Phone restarts and then the new version installs. The complete update takes about 5 minutes.
You might find that the new version is not available for your phone. Nokia releases different software versions updates according to region and operator.
The only change I have noticed after upgrading is fixing the contacts key issue. In the old version long press on the contacts key didn’t create new contact like it should.

Important notice: Backup phone content before upgrading to the new version.

Fring – Use your Nokia E72 to Communicate with friends
Posted by MyNokiaE72 in Applications, Free Applications on December 30, 2009
I like to communicate with friends and family using messenger on my E72. It’s better then using SMS or MMS, it’s free, I can transfer files and pictures, bi directional chat and even VoIP calls supported . Most of us using more then one messenger application, so installing and running multiple applications on the E72 is not the right solution. Fring provides you the ability to communicate with friends and family who are using different messengers in one simple interface.

Lisetn to personal music collection on Nokia E72
Posted by MyNokiaE72 in Applications, Free Applications on December 28, 2009
It has been log time ago since we had to carry CDs to listen to music on the move. Even today when using MP3 it’s not very convenient to copy MP3 files from the computer to MP3 player or your Nokie E72. Files are lost on the way, memory size is limited and Murphy laws always work, you copy all your songs except your favorite one.
